Ifeanyi Kevin Ewuziem

Ifeanyi Kevin Ewuziem is an academic and policy researcher, consultant, solicitor and advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He is a graduate of the department of Public Law, Rivers State University and an alumnus of the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus.

Ifeanyi currently serves as a Researcher at the Administration of Criminal Justice Academy, an affiliate of Juritrust Centre for Socio-legal Research and Documentation, a top-tier research institution in Africa, based in Abuja, Nigeria. He also contributes to C.V. Georgewill & Co., a leading litigation-focused law firm in Port Harcourt, as Head of its Legal Research Department, where he conducts rigorous research in support of dispute resolution. Furthermore, he serves as Director of Research for Haven360 Foundation, a non-governmental orgainsation dedicated to providing pro bono legal and humanitarian services to indigent and disadvantaged Nigerians.

As an undergraduate, he authored “Moral and Legal Issues Inherent in Mob Justice: A Clarion Call for a Rethink.” Through the Movement for the Restoration of Citizens’ Values (MRCV), a student-led non-profit organisation he co-founded, he secured funding from entities such as Rotary Clubs, the Peace Corps of Nigeria, and private benefactors to publish and distribute over a thousand copies of his work on mob justice, free of charge, to students in Rivers State. While at the Nigerian Law School, his essay, “A Critical Appraisal on Compliance with the Compulsory Treatment and Care for Victims of Gunshots Act 2017,” earned him the distinction of 1st Runner-Up in a national essay competition organised by the Molluma Yakubu Centre for Medical Law.

Ifeanyi’s legal career began as a State Counsel in the office of the Honourable Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Bayelsa State, where he represented the state in numerous complex criminal trials and civil disputes. He subsequently transitioned to private practice, establishing Lofty Legal Consultancy, a firm committed to delivering sophisticated legal solutions through collaborative partnerships and a foundation of professional integrity.

A dedicated advocate for the advancement of the Nigerian legal profession, Ifeanyi has served as Secretary of the Human Rights Committee, Sagbama Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association. On the 20th January, 2025, he was appointed to the Emerging Practice Area Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association by the National Chairman of the Young Lawyers Forum.
